Webinar series in Palliative and End-of-Life Care
Dr. Hilde Depauw presents her work as part of a series on innovative research methods in palliative care and public health research.
Critical discursive psychology (CDP) is a qualitative research methodology that uses a social constructivist epistemology. When applied to the context of healthcare, it allows to combine considerations of wider societal discourses on health and illness (‘macro-level’) with participant specific understandings and experiences (‘micro-level’).
In this webinar, we will discuss how to perform this dual reading of qualitative data to get a complete analytic picture of the topic under investigation, using two examples on psychotherapists and minoritized clients’ discourse on culturally responsive psychotherapy.
