Anne-Lore Scherrens
Biography
Anne-Lore Scherrens has a Master's degree in Health Education and Health Promotion (UGent, 2015) and a Bachelor's degree in Pediatric Nursing (KHBO Brugge, 2013). She joined the End-of-Life Care Research Group (VUB & UGent) and Health Promotion Research Group (UGent) as a junior researcher (2015). She obtained her doctoral degree with the doctoral thesis “Using a health promotion approach and behavioral theories to gain insight into factors related to palliative care behaviors among people confronted with serious illness” (2022). She is currently working as postdoctoral researcher and involved in the EU MyPath project, which goal is to develop and implement innovative patient-centred care pathways. She is also involved in a PhD project that focusses on support needs and experiences of adolescents and young adults (AYAs) who are confronted with parental (incurable) cancer.
