Economic evaluation of palliative care: what is the state of the art?
During this webinar, Dr. May will talk on the topic, ‘Economic evaluation of palliative care: what is the state of the art?’ His presentation will cover the strengths and weaknesses of the current evidence base, recent innovations in approaches to evaluation, and the role of economic evidence for policymakers.
Dr Peter May is a Senior Lecturer in Health Economics at the Cicely Saunders Institute, King’s College London, UK and an Adjunct Associate Professor in Health Economics at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. He works with an interdisciplinary network of collaborators in the UK, EU and US to design and analyse evaluations of interventions for patients and their families. His research focuses on improving methods for evaluation in this population, in understanding and quantifying future needs, and in different approaches to understand decision-making.
