Abstract
The survey research method is one of the instruments of quantitative research that is perhaps the most frequently used in palliative care research. This chapter offers guidance to the palliative care researcher on navigating through the different stages of a survey and producing reliable and valid results. The chapter focuses on sample design and selection, choice of survey method and data collection method, questionnaire design and testing, and fielding the survey.
