Lenzo Robijn is a social worker who holds a master's degree in Sociology (Ghent University). He obtained a Ph.D. in Social Health Sciences (End-of-Life Care Research Group, VUB & Ghent University) and was a predoctoral fellow of the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO). His research focused on the development, validation, and evaluation of clinical practice guidelines for palliative sedation in nursing homes, to improve care delivery by general practitioners.
Currently, Lenzo serves as a doctor-assistant in the Department of Public Health and Primary Care at Ghent University. In this role, he leads efforts to promote collaboration and synergy among the various research groups within the department. He has a particular interest in systems thinking, improving access to care for vulnerable populations, and fostering effective communication and collaboration in healthcare settings.
