Kristel Paque

Kristel Paque obtained a master’s degree in nursing and midwifery at Antwerp University (2014), and she started a joined PhD in Medical Science/Health Sciences at the End-of-Life Care Research Group at Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the Clinical Pharmacology Research Unit at the University of Ghent (2016). Her PhD dissertation is entitled “Deprescribing of medications at the end of life” (2019). Her research focuses on deprescribing in palliative care on a population level (big data), and early initiation of palliative care. Currently, she is working as a senior researcher and teaching assistant at Antwerp University, and as a teacher at HAST Associate Degree Nursing in Hasselt. She is actively involved in NuPhaC (Nurse and Pharmaceutical Care), an international network to strengthen evidence, policy, practice, and education in nurses’ contribution to interprofessional pharmaceutical care.
