Abstract project
Background: Although conversations about future medical treatment and end-of-life care are considered to be important, ethnic minorities are much less engaged in advance care planning (ACP).
Objectives: To explore advance care planning-related knowledge, experiences, views, facilitators, and barriers among older adults and their family caregivers of Turkish and Moroccan origin in Belgium.
Methods: General practitioners in Brussels and Antwerp will recruit the participants. We will conduct semi-structured interviews. For this qualitative study, we will perform combined inductive/deductive thematic data analysis.
